Migration To Broadband Home/Office
Migrating To MINX ADSL

Minx offer’s a migration path between service providers for our Broadband Home 500, Broadband Home 1000, Broadband Office 500, Broadband Office 1000 and Broadband Office 2000 products. If you already have an active ADSL account with another ISP, we may be able to migrate your service so that you don't have to wait for your current ISP to cancel it before we can provide you with new service (a process which involves seven or more days loss of connection). Migration is designed to reduce the amount of downtime and inconvenience to an absolute minimum. 

Please Note

* We are only able to migrate customers who currently have Self Install 'Wires Only' ADSL services. It is not possible to migrate customers who have an engineer-installed ADSL service.
* It is not possible to migrate between product types, i.e. from a Broadband Home 500 service to an Broadband Office 500 service, you can only migrate the package you currently have.
* Customers must have a BT line. 

The Migration Process
To allow us to initiate migration, you should contact your existing ISP and ask them to provide you with your ADSL CBUK number. Please make them aware that you are migrating to MINX and do not want your ADSL service ceased (cancelled) until the migration has been completed.

The CBUK number is a reference which BT assign to every ADSL account, and one will have been provided to your ISP when your service was first activated.

Once your order has been accepted and payment has been processed, we will send a migration request to BT. They will then send an e-mail to your existing ISP requesting migration to MINX.

Once this request has been accepted, the order will be processed and will be subject to our normal 5 working day lead time, plus a period of up to 21 days - which will vary depending on your existing ISP and BT scheduling of the changeover. Your present ADSL service will continue to be provided until the migration is completed.

We will send you information by e-mail to let you know the precise date when MINX service will first be provided and all the details needed to use and maintain your new Internet connection.
